took an afternoon to go back to the area around where I worked last summer. visited some of my favorite old spots as well as some new ones and just enjoyed a nice summer day walking around and taking photos

Just a Bridge Away
SF may be just a 30 minute bart ride away, but I still had difficulty finding time to explore the city. school can be stressful and demanding, but I’ve been trying to focus on development outside of the academic sense, and part of that is fully getting to know my new home away from socal.
Old Friends, Old Places
making the most of a 70-degree SoCal winter day by heading to the surrounding areas of our high school dance venue. practicing new skills with old friends. I’ve tried to shoot more during winter break, especially since I felt there was a serious lack of practice last semester. nevertheless, I’m happy with how these turned out
Let’s Go to LA
what better way to celebrate being back in SoCal than going on a drive to LA? we packed our high school friends all into one car and spent an afternoon eating, walking around, and of course, taking photos.
Goodbye, Fall Semester
wrapping up the semester with mind-numbingly difficult finals, house cleaning, and a rare trip to SF. unfortunately, it was absolutely pouring on the one day we decided to go, spoiling plans of going to Chinatown or ice skating, so we settled for wandering through a more Christmassy Westfield mall.
Coffee Shop Aesthetics
reverting to my cooler-tone editing style because it’s nearing that Thanksgiving/Christmas winter vibe time of the year. headed to a coffee shop to study with a friend instead of class on this monday to start off my week on a far more relaxed note than usual.
location: algorithm coffee co. in berkeley
Sunny Weekends
I was told that August/September would be the summer months of berkeley. still not quite sure if that was true (aside from a handful of ridiculously warm days.) I missed having a true summer, like how it would be back in socal. so it was nice to enjoy the sunshine for some time this weekend before holing up to study for the rest of the cloudy week.
Golden Days
cramming in adventures and shoot in the final weeks before school starts. a hike up to the Big C means more nature shots with dance team friends.
August Adventures
spontaneously deciding to drive to oakland to get food resulted in some more photos. an afternoon of the best mac-n-cheese (please go hit up homeroom), revisiting the cathedral of lights, and pretending we’ve all known each other for longer than a month.
Is It Summer Yet?
let it be known that norcal beaches are significantly less friendly than socal beaches. despite being attacked by wind and sand, it was still a nice get together of friends to celebrate my belated birthday. looking forward to more random road trips this summer.
