living in SoCal, I’ve admittedly been to Disneyland a number of times, mostly for class field trips. this time, though, I figured I would bring my DSLR and see if I can make Disneyland look as magical as it is. trying out warmer tones and different coloring so bear with me.

Hip and Local
coming back to Irvine always feels like a vacation. today, I took some friends to a familiar place and we re-explored the town that we had grown up in. bright and colorful pictures reflect a cheerful, carefree self that I had grown apart from this year. there really is no place like home sometimes.
Summertime
prom in SoCal includes an abundance of photos taken at the beach. though the weather was hot and perhaps a bit too sunny and I was rushing from location to location, seeing old friends in the place I was last year was worth more than the money.
Prom Nostalgia
there’s something exciting about getting dressed up and having nice photos and going to a dance with a guy. it’s a very high-school thought sure, but in a way, I miss that part of my life. taking pictures of prom for the first time was challenging, but definitely a good experience and a walk down memory lane.
Just Getting Started
as I begin the last week of my freshmen year in college, I’m still a little in shock at how fast time flew by. everyone warned me about it, but here I stand, still not quite able to pinpoint where the time went. it was definitely a year of some serious high’s and low’s. cheers to the people who encouraged me to pick up a camera, to the people who gave me their unconditional love and support, to the ones who put me down, and to the ones who are with me on this journey into adulthood.
Some Basic Headshots
figured this is probably a more useful application of my photography. besides, when my residence hall offers me an amazon gift card to take headshots, it’s hard to say no.
Apparently I Like Staircases
to build on the motif of photographing tall Asian boys in dorm fire escapes. I just like the lighting there, okay?
